THE HOME
The house is a custom built, 4200 sq ft. post and beam structure in the Frank Lloyd Wright design. It features exposed beams throughout and boasts 2 x 10 and 2 x 12 construction. A bright, sunny home with views from all sides. Windows and doors have been replaced with top line thermal Anderson windows. There are 2 gracious floor to ceiling fireplaces. One is custom Italian tile; the other is exploded antique brick. Flooring is hardwood and tile throughout most of the home. Ceiling fans have been installed in all rooms but two, including bathrooms. Redwood was used extensively throughout the house both inside trim and ceilings as well as outside accent walls. The first floor was originally used as a separate apartment with separate entrance. In 1980. the original kitchen was removed and the room became a baby nursery and bedroom. Eventually it became a large walk-in/storage closet with laundry facilities. Putting a kitchen back would enable the first floor to be a gracious 1000 sq. ft. apartment.  Most recently the first floor has been a Master bedroom suite with sitting room and two room size walk-in closets. The bathroom has a new Jacuzzi tub. The third floor bedroom area originally had 3 bedrooms. A wall was removed and a teenage heaven was created. The wall could easily be put back. There is a sleep loft in one bedroom for the pre-teen overnight slumber parties. The ladder and safety rail are in storage.
